Cabernet Franc
It is characterized by a dark purple color and the aroma of prunes. Its velvety character is associated with an excellent acid structure and a world of black cherry/strawberry flavors. An easy to love, harmonious red wine.
‘Arpensis’ is an ancient Roman measure of area. In Villány, at the foot of the Szársomlyó, we found this old measure inscribed on the altar stone of a richly mosaic decorated Roman villa. According to the inscription, the lord of the estate, Venatus, with the help of his son, planted 400 arpensis (about 45 hectares) of vines here 2000 years ago.
